Capturing the Heart of Sourdough
Long before I learned how to shoot bread, I learned how to eat it.
Growing up in Dublin, Ireland, I was surrounded by the comforting smell of warm loaves, hearty stews, and kitchens filled with chatter. But while I loved the taste of bread, I was always fascinated by how food looked before it reached the table—the way steam curled off a freshly baked boule, or how light spilled across a flour-dusted countertop.

When I picked up my first camera, it wasn’t landscapes or portraits that caught my attention. It was food. I started with my grandmother’s soda bread, shooting it by the window where the soft afternoon light made every crumb glow. Over time, I developed not just a style, but a mission: to make every bake look as good as it tastes.
Why I Specialize in Food Photography & Video
Bread is alive. It bubbles, grows, stretches, and transforms. Capturing that life is both a challenge and a joy.
Photography freezes the perfect moment—a golden crust cracking as it cools. Video tells the full story—the gentle folding of dough, the rhythmic scoring, the reveal when the loaf comes out of the oven.
In a digital age where baking is as much visual as it is sensory, I see my work as a bridge between the baker and the audience. Good visuals inspire, teach, and connect us to food in a way words alone can’t.

🎥 Fun fact: I once built a mini wood-fired oven just to shoot a single campaign—it took two weeks, but the footage was worth it.
My Creative Philosophy
Every bake deserves to be remembered—not just for how it tastes, but for how it makes you feel. My job is to capture that feeling in every frame. I believe that a great bread photo should make you want to reach through the screen and take a bite.
